Equipment hubs
Mining Equipment HVAC by Machine Class
Seven equipment hubs covering the machines that move material on a Limpopo open-cast operation. Each hub documents duty cycle, dominant HVAC failure modes and the service programme we run for that class.

Every machine class has its own failure signature
Pick a hub to see the components that fail, the duty cycle that causes it, and the service programme we run for that machine class in the Waterberg.
Komatsu 730E / 830E
Haul Trucks
Roof-mounted or behind-cab condenser packs run in permanent dust saturation. Vibration fatigue on discharge lines and cab pressurisation loss are the dominant failure paths.

Excavators
Hydraulic bay heat load pushes evaporators into permanent maximum duty. Condenser placement next to oil coolers makes airflow separation critical.
Open hubCaterpillar D9–D11
Bulldozers
Shock and torsional loading destroys rigid pipework and mounting brackets. Positive cab pressure is the difference between a sealed cab and an abrasive dust box.

Wheel Loaders
Rear engine-bay mounting exposes the condenser to hot exhaust-side air. Belt-driven compressors suffer from tensioner wear under cyclic loading.

Drill Rigs
Static operation means no ram air across the condenser — every degree of cooling depends on fan performance and a clean core.

Mining Service Vehicles
Mixed OEM systems with mismatched aftermarket components. Standardising refrigerant type and parts across the support fleet cuts downtime sharply.

Mobile Plant
Operator cabins and control kiosks on mobile plant are frequently overlooked in fleet maintenance schedules until they fail outright.
